Senior Residential Support Worker Childcare
£35,190 plus sleep-ins and further shifts at £15.17 per hour
Full Time Onsite
Ironstone Recruitment is pleased to offer a Senior Residential Support Worker position in a leading established childcare company, working in the Accrington & Rochdale area.
You will offer emotional support & establish strong relationships with the children through routine and boundaries to create a warm & nurturing environment. Each child’s needs will be championed, helping them to reach their potential, be it through sport, cooking, outdoor adventures or music, opening them up to new experiences and nurturing their self esteem & confidence.
You will also be involved in mentoring & coaching new team members, drawing on your own experiences to manage any challenges that might arise.
You will need:
A good understanding of the Children’s Home Regulations & Quality standards, Ofsted processes & current Children’s Legislation.
Some knowledge of the needs of children with EBD/SEMH/CSE and the support services required.
Strong communication skills & a good character with integrity and resilience to match the demands of this role.
Level3 or equivalent in Children and Young Peoples Workforce.
Minimum 1 years experience in Residential Children’s Services or similar setting for children with challenging behaviour.
Minimum 1 years experience of leading shifts in a children’s residential setting.
You must undertake our Crisis Prevention Institute Training.
You will get:
Salary £35,190 plus sleep-ins. Additional worked hours paid at £15.17 per hour.
33 days annual leave.
