Registered Manager Child Care

We require 2 Registered Managers to work in 2 brand new provisions opening in Accrington. This exciting opportunity will require the successful applicant to be responsible for the day to day running of the home, organising a team & their work allocations as well as having direct contact with the children.
You will need to have knowledge of all current legislation & take on the responsibility of being Ofsted ready at all times.
You will need to ensure all safeguarding policies are adhered to and where necessary, acted upon immediately, along with effective communications with all agencies. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective delegation to meet the children’s needs and taking part in training programmes as offered. You will need to build relationships with the children, their relatives & professionals, encouraging participation of therapeutic & social activities alongside a full educational timetable where appropriate.
An Enhanced Disclosure Check will be carried out for this Post.
You will need:
Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
Minimum 5 years experience, 2 of which must be at management level.
Experience of assessment, care & planning.
A detailed understanding of 1989 Children’s Act, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Homes regulations 2015.
A high standard of written work, good organisation & communication skills, being able to respond calmly when under pressure.
Full UK Driving Licence.
