Ironstone Recruitment is pleased to offer 2 roles within an established Childcare Company in the Blackburn area, for fully qualified Registered Managers.
The position would carry the responsibility of effective running of the home, within all current official guidelines, to the standards required by Ofsted.
You will work with and be responsible for a multi-disciplinary team, organising rotas to suit the children’s needs. You will ensure all safeguarding procedures are adhered to. You will encourage the children to participate in therapeutic & social activities and ensure that they have an appropriate educational timetable & support package, dealing with them directly.
You will attend meetings & training where required, be flexible with your working hours and promote a pleasant working environment for the staff, offering praise & support for their personal welfare.

You will need:
Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
Level3 in Residential Childcare.
Minimum 5 years experience in residential care – 2 at management level.
Experience of partnership working & competence in identifying purposeful & collaborative networks.
Detailed understanding of Children’s Act 1989.
An ability to work within agreed systems, demonstrate problem solving, organisational and a high standard of written skills.
An ability to cope calmly with unexpected situations, build effective relationships with the children, seeking appropriate support where necessary and provide accurate records to facilitate any decisions made.
You will need a Full UK Driving Licence.
